Deb Menet

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trained yoga instructor passionate about supporting people on their journey through various evidence-based modalities.

I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over twenty years, currently hold a role at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health and previously served as Clinical Director at a local non-profit providing school-based counseling services. I have participated in academic research and have presented at various national conferences on topics related to mental health and chronic illness as well as healthcare professional wellbeing. I work from a trauma-informed and multi-theoretical perspective. I value providing LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

My yoga offerings include individual and group sessions for people seeking a more holistic experience - one that integrates mindfulness of body, breath, mind and emotions. Since being trained, I have provided sessions to people impacted by chronic illness, healthcare professionals, and holistic studio-style classes. My own personal experience with yoga as a conduit to insight inspired me to offer the same to others. I continue with and deeply value my own personal yoga practice.

On a personal note, I am a single parent of two young women and have navigated my own personal experience with a major medical illness.  I have a love of the great outdoors and every possible active way to enjoy my beautiful Northern California surroundings.

oak tree as a symbol of strength, wisdom, stability, and endurance.

Why Oak

The Oak Tree embodies strength, wisdom, stability, and endurance.

Unlike other trees that grow straight upward, the oak tree’s branches grow unpredictably out, down, and upward - shaped by the elements. The oak tree grows in unexpected directions while staying anchored by its deep roots.
